Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis says it was “quite upsetting” to learn her name was used on a voter registration in New York that signed her up as a Republican with an address at Trump Tower “of all places.”
Willis was behind the RICO indictment against President Trump and 18 co-defendants after they challenged the 2020 election results, but her case fell to pieces after she appointed her lover, Nathan Wade, to the case and the two billed Fulton County for their lavish outings.
The charges were finally dropped in late 2025 after Willis and her office were disqualified from the case.
Now, Willis is whining about a prank that she sees as a “serious matter.”
“It came to my attention that someone registered to vote as me in New York. Interestingly enough, they registered me as a Republican that lived in Trump Tower, of all places,” she said in a recent interview. “I got notice of that, which was really actually quite upsetting.”
“It’s true I’ve been threatened and harassed,” she added.
“But it’s not the first crime that’s been committed to harass me because every time I’m threatened, when my house is doxed, all of those things are crimes.”
“I don’t want Georgia to try to use it as an excuse as to why I shouldn’t vote here, and so I take it as a serious matter,” she further complained.
Via WSB-TV:
According to WSB’s Mark Winne, the New York City Board of Elections notified Willis of the discrepancy.
The New York City Board of Elections wrote in a letter to Fani Willis, “had an individual attempted to vote they would have been required to present identification or sufficient documentation to establish proof of residence. In any event, the Board does not have any records regarding voter history for any election.”

Willis is now working with a prosecutor in New York about a potential criminal investigation into the prankster.
