A small store in Brooklyn, New York, now says they’re receiving a barrage of threats, harassing phone calls, bad reviews, and more after Kelly Clarkson smeared them online and accused them of mistreating her.
Surveillance footage released by the store shows what really happened.
“In the real world, where this shop exists, this is a place of magic and joy. We created this place to make people feel like kids again. Anyone that walks through the door, we invite them to sit down, pick things up and play with them. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to make a purchase. It doesn’t matter if you’re wearing sweatpants, or they’re nine years old, or they’re a celebrity that we don’t recognize; they all get treated the same way,” one of the owners said in an interview, likening Clarkson’s attacks to a “f*cking Molotov cocktail” being thrown into the shop.
“Kelly Clarkson’s problem is that she got to be treated like a normal person, and because of that, her ego was bruised, and she decided to throw a f*cking Molotov cocktail into our shop,” he said.
Clarkson essentially doxxed the store, mobilizing her followers to harass them after she smeared the shop on X.
Clarkson claims she wanted to buy an expensive item, but they treated her “like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman,” where Roberts played a prostitute who was judged at a high-end clothing store.
But in a back-and-forth on social media, the store claims they treated her like any other customer when she was turned down from buying a “permanently attached” fixture in the store but offered different choices.

However, CCTV footage, obtained by podcaster Pablo Torre, appears to show Clarkson browsing the store and picking up items to buy. However, after a casual exchange with the employee, where she claims she was treated “less than,” she is seen putting items back and storming out.
While leaving, Clarkson appears to yell at another employee, leaving an awkward scene with other customers giggling. The grown woman literally went into a toy store and threw a fit.

Now, after Clarkson lashed out at the store online in posts that received over 50 million views, Adam Rubin, a co-owner of the store, says they’re getting threats and facing harassment from Clarkson’s deranged fans.
“We are legitimately worried about the safety of our shopkeepers because Kelly Clarkson has put us all in danger at this point,” he said in an interview with TMZ.
Clarkson, he said is “using your platform to try to squash us like a bug,” and they’re receiving “thousands” of phone calls and threats.
“Not just that, we’re getting review bombed, we’re getting attacked on social media, on our private social media accounts,” he said.
“And the worst part of it is that our fans who have actually been here, our friends and our family would actually been in the store, anytime they post anything in support or any positivity or admiration for our shops, they’re getting attacked by Kelly Carson fans and getting threatened and getting — people telling our neighbor when he says something nice that they hope that his cat gets cancer. Doxing window. They’re doxxing a children’s art school next door.”
“We had no idea that any of this was going to happen, but Kelly Carson did,” he added.
Still, he extended an olive branch to the pop star, suggesting that he is not going to take any legal action or retaliate in anyway, instead offering her an “open invitation” to come to the store and attend a magic show.
“I’d like her to maybe let me know before she comes because it seems that a lot of attention follows her around. But I’ll tell you this: the last 72 hours have been so f*cking intense. All of our phones are overheating. I’ve had cameras in my face since 11 o’clock this morning. If it’s this intense to be mentioned by Kelly Clarkson, imagine how intense it is to be Kelly Clarkson. So, I have a lot of sympathy for the pressure that she’s under, but the actions that she took, it’s a reprehensible abuse of power, it’s asymetrical social warfare, and society needs to take a look at itself when we give celebrities a pass to do sh*t like this,” he added
