In the latest stop on a promotion tour for his new book, How to Lose Friends and Antagonize Presidents, RINO Senator Thom Tillis (NC) went on another anti-Trump tirade for 12 minutes on NBC this morning, taking aim at Trump’s foreign policy. 

Tillis can’t help but root against Trump.

Today, it was Trump’s agreement to import diesel fuel from Russia, which he announced on Friday after speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I completely reject it,” Tillis said, describing the ongoing conflict as “an illegal war that was initiated by the despot that we know as Vladimir Putin.”

“Look, I was over in Ukraine a couple of weeks ago with a couple of my colleagues. We went to Kharkiv. We heard stories of systematic kidnap and relocation of children, rape of women and daughters in the presence of their husband before they were executed,” he claimed.

“If President Trump wants to end the strain of energy supplies, number one, get things right in Iran, and number two, recognize that it was Vladimir Putin, not Zelensky, that started this war, and it’s Vladimir Putin who owns the responsibility for energy prices to the extent that they come from that part of the world.”

He further accused Trump of “tarnishing Lindsey Graham’s efforts to try and get the sanctions bill through.”

Asked whether he thinks Trump’s waiver of sanctions violates the law, Tillis said he will be putting out a statement with New Hampshire Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen to pressure Trump into reversing the deal, claiming it has “deadly consequences.”

“I do believe there’s a legitimate case for saying the president’s not following the law,” he said, calling on Russia to end the war by “backing out” of all territory they’ve occupied since the beginning.

Asked if the deal will put American lives at risk, Tillis said, “it absolutely will. My goodness!” while highlighting Putin’s “cozy relationship” with Iran over the years.

“I will guarantee you at the first opportunity Putin has to embarrass or undermine President Trump, he will,” he added.
