A North Texas man who threatened to shoot and kill Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents online has been sentenced to 17 months in federal prison.
Robert Wilson King, 36, pleaded guilty on June 16 to transmitting an interstate threat. U.S. District Judge Brantley Starr sentenced him on September 16 to 17 months behind bars, followed by two years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.
As The Gateway Pundit first reported when King was arrested in McKinney last April, Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI moved after he wrote that ICE agents in his neighborhood would be met with gunfire.
According to the federal complaint, King posted on March 2025:
“If I see ICE agents in my neighborhood I’m opening fire. It’s time to stop being p****** and put the second amendment to work. ICE are not real cops, they are a secret police force with no real legal authority. Kill them.”
He later doubled down on Instagram under the handle “Die Trump”: “Just wanna double down on what I said the other day: if ICE comes to your neighborhood, f****** shoot them and kill them. No mercy for the Gestapo.”
He also warned family members that if they were “stalking my page” and feeding information to anyone, “there will be hell to pay.”
An acquaintance confronted King about the posts. King confirmed he wrote them, said he was serious about killing ICE agents, and expressed no remorse.
After the confrontation, King was no longer living at the private residence and was reportedly living out of his vehicle. He later deleted or hid the ICE-killing post and changed his Facebook name from “Rob King” to “Rob Gutierrez.”
That was not an isolated outburst. The affidavit details a string of violent posts in the weeks before the ICE threat.
King wrote that he hoped Gov. Greg Abbott “literally burns alive from having a Molotov cocktail thrown directly on him” and that he would “laugh while he screams.”
He wished Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem a “horrible and agonizing demise,” hoped she would be “ripped apart in a gulag,” and called her “Nazi scum.” He said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene “should be tried for treason and shot by a firing squad.”
He posted that the FBI director “needs to be shot and killed” and dared the bureau: “I dare you to arrest me motherfucker.”
On Instagram, he demanded President Trump “be put to death” and added, “I don’t give a fuck anymore, give me the gun, I’ll pull the trigger myself. Come get me FBI. Fuck this country.”
King also acknowledged the trajectory himself: “Some of my friends have noted that my rhetoric is growing increasingly more violent. Yes.”
He was first arrested on a Kaufman County terroristic threat warrant (Texas Penal Code 22.07) before federal charges followed.
A magistrate detained him as a flight risk and danger to the community. He later pleaded in the federal case and received a 17-month sentence.
Seventeen months is not a life sentence. The statute allowed five years. He will do less than a year and a half after already sitting in custody since the spring of 2025.
