The British government is handing illegal immigrants a nine-page guide explaining that rape, sexual harassment, domestic abuse and controlling women are unacceptable in the United Kingdom.

The government booklet lays out basic rules on sex, consent, relationships and behavior in public, while explaining that in liberal democracies like the U.K. women have the right to work, study, travel and choose whom they marry.

“Women do not need permission from a husband, father, brother, or any other man to do any of these things,” the guidance states.

Asylum seekers are also instructed to “treat your partner and family with respect,” allow them to make their own choices and “never physically or verbally abuse or control them.”

The section dealing with public behavior tells migrants not to make sexual comments toward strangers, follow people, block their path, whistle at them or make kissing noises.

Another section spells out the meaning of sexual consent.

“If you have sex with someone without their consent, this is called rape. Rape is a serious crime in the U.K.”

“You could go to prison, lose your support and accommodation, and it will affect your asylum claim,” the booklet states.

It also explains that consent cannot be obtained through threats or pressure, can be withdrawn at any point and cannot legally be given by children under 16.

The Home Office defended its decision to issue the guidance.

“We expect everyone who comes to the U.K. to abide by our laws,” a Home Office spokesperson said.

“If they do not, they will face consequences, including the refusal of their asylum claim and removal from the U.K.”

The guidance comes amid countless numbers of cases of illegal migrants, many of whom have entered on small boats, have been charged with sexually assaulting women.

Back in May, seven Afghan migrants were charged with rape, child sexual abuse and human trafficking offenses in the city of Norwich.

The government claims nearly 70,000 illegal migrants and foreign criminals have been returned or deported since Labour took office in July 2024.

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said the government should concentrate on removing migrants rather than teaching them how to behave.

“Instead of trying to train these mainly young, male illegal immigrants to behave in a civilized way towards women, they should be deported,” Philp wrote on the X platform.
