It’s now been revealed, after Trump blasted US Attorney Jeanine Pirro for dropping charges against former Olympian David Hearn, that the Department of Justice moved to drop charges against three more defendants accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

On Monday, Trump slammed Jeanine Pirro during an Oval Office press conference, saying she “choked.” Trump added, “I was disappointed with Jeanine Pirro, really disappointed with Jeanine Pirro. She folded like an umbrella, and people get away with things, and it’s a disgrace.”

Following the press conference, Pirro was spotted at the White House, where she met with the President. CNN’s Kaitlan Collins reported that Pirro and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum were seen separately entering the West Wing to attend the same meeting with the President. Sources told CNN that Pirro was not fired and did not offer a resignation.

Now, we’re finding out that Pirro also moved to dismiss charges against Justin Carreno, Sophie Dennison-Gibby, and Cameron Thiers, all of whom were accused of vandalizing the Reflecting Pool. According to court documents, Pirro’s office moved to dismiss all three cases last Friday, the same day they moved to dismiss charges against Hearn.

Over a dozen people have been arrested or cited for their suspected roles in the vandalism, Jeanine Pirro claimed in June, but the most notable arrest was that of David Hearn.

grand jury in far-left DC returned an indictment of the three-time Olympic canoeist for his alleged vandalism of the reflecting pool last month. Hearn faced up to ten years in prison after a grand jury in the DC Superior Court returned the indictment.

When he was arrested in June, local independent journalist Emily Miller appeared to catch his arrest on camera. She shared the clip on X, saying he was vandalizing the pool and tried to impede workers cleaning the pool by “grabb[ing] the hose that female National Park Service workers were using to clear the algae.” It is unclear if this claim was even presented to the grand jury that returned an indictment. Miller further said in June that a man was arrested after jumping into the pool today and cutting out a “huge piece” of the sealant.

However, as The Gateway Pundit reported, the Justice Department dropped the charges against Hearn on Friday. US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who previously accused Hearn of “violently and forcefully” ripping up the sealant, claimed on Friday that “flawed installation by the contractor” was responsible for the damage.

“It was not until after the return of the indictment [of Hearn], that the [Department of Interior] provided additional documents to the [US Attorney’s Office in DC] indicating that damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in June 2026 was the result of flawed installation by the contractor, Atlantic Industrial Coatings, and the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration in the weeks surrounding Independence Day 2026,” Pirro’s office wrote in the filing.

Trump lashed out at Pirro on Saturday morning, slamming her for dismissing the case. Likewise, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum also blasted Pirro’s office, pushing back on its claim that his department misled prosecutors. “The evidence is clear, vandals have repeatedly caused damage to the Reflecting Pool. Some of these acts were even caught on camera. We also provided the U.S. Attorney’s office expert and eyewitness testimony to the damage done by vandals and provided every piece of evidence they asked for in the requested time line detailing each area of damage at the pool,” Burgum wrote.

Trump further shared a four-minute-long surveillance video of alleged vandals after Pirro dropped the charges, writing on Truth Social, “Look for yourselves at the VANDALISM that took place at The Reflecting Pool. The material is being cut with a knife or a box cutter, for all to see!” Previously, the US Park Police shared part of this footage and requested help from the public in identifying the suspect as part of a destruction of government property investigation.

It was also previously discovered that someone had inscribed “8647,” a call for Trump’s assassination, on the pool’s sealant.
