Liberal radio host Charlamagne tha God said Thursday on his “Breakfast Club” show that Fauci ducking questions at a Senate Hearing earlier this week was “suspicious” and that his pardon from Joe Biden was “fishy.”
Still, he appeared to dismiss legitimate critics of the COVID crisis as “conspiracy theorists” without questioning why COVID skeptics were given that label.
“I know these conspiracy theorists happy this morning,” Chalamagne said. “I’m like, I know they sitting around like I told y’all. We tried to tell y’all!”
He also argued that Fauci’s behavior looks “suspicious” to the “conspiracy theorists.”
This comes after Fauci refused to answer questions before the Senate Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, invoking his Fifth Amendment right more than 100 times as Senate Republicans grilled him over the COVID pandemic and his many lies over the years.
After years of spreading COVID and vaccine disinformation, he couldn’t answer for any of it despite having a sweeping preemptive pardon from Biden.
Fauci even refused to answer basic questions like what day of the week it was, what color his tie was, and what color the carpet was when Senator Josh Hawley tested him.
WATCH:
Senator Rand Paul announced that the committee will vote next week to hold Fauci in contempt for refusing to answer questions and suggested that his invocation of the Fifth Amendment was unlawful.
“Now listen, I’m stupid. Okay, I just want y’all to know that. But I will say I never understood why Dr. Fauci needed a pardon if there was no crime committed or nothing was done wrong,” Charlamagne said on his Thursday show.
“And when you think of every conspiracy theorist that accused him of everything from creating or covering up the virus, you know, the profiting from mandates and vaccines, it does look suspicious that he won’t answer questions in the language,” he continued.
“How can somebody trap you if you’re not doing nothing wrong? Like, well, like, how can— you can’t trap me if I’m not doing anything wrong. What am I going to say?”
Contributor Mimi Brown jumped in, however, to make sure he didn’t step too far out of line.
“Well, I’m not a lawyer, but I will say this: Republicans, and especially led by Senator Rand Paul, they pointed to 1,100 pages that they released from Fauci’s personal government diary entries… and it accuses him of misleading the public during the pandemic,” she said.
She further claimed, in light of Biden’s pardon for Fauci, that Republicans, “especially Senator Rand Paul,” just want a scapegoat.
Of course, Fauci wouldn’t be protected from lying under oath during the hearing, which she conveniently failed to mention as she rushed to his defense.
“They want someone to blame to make them understand what happened, why we had to separate for six feet, why so many people were fired from work if they didn’t get the vaccine,” Brown added. She then attempted to shift the attention to Senator Bernie Moreno, going off on Fauci and dropping an F-bomb, which Brown asserted was “disrespectful.”
As Brown and co-host DJ Envy tried to run cover for Fauci and attack Moreno, Charlamagne fired back, “But y’all don’t think it’s fishy that he got a pardon. Why did he need a pardon? A pardon?”
Then, the panel descended into a Trump-bashing session where they spewed falsehoods that Biden pardoned everyone to protect them from Trump targeting them, Hunter Biden never committed a crime, and that Trump “told everybody to drink Clorox.”
LISTEN:
Before giving him too much credit for this common-sense realization, it should be recalled that just a few months ago, Charlamagne called Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas a “coon” because he disagrees with him.
Charlamagne previously admitted that he regrets getting the COVID vaccine. “I should have never got that damn COVID shot,” he said, adding that he now suffers from chest pains.
“I had no cardiovascular issues until like I got that goddamn COVID shot,” Charlamagne said.
