Elon Musk is preparing to pour millions of dollars into Republican efforts to hold Congress in this year’s midterm elections.

According to Axios, Musk is relaunching America PAC, the super PAC that spent more than $260 million supporting Trump’s successful presidential campaign.

The group will focus on turning out Republican voters through an extensive ground game, including door-knocking, digital advertising and direct mail targeting conservative voters who are less likely to participate in midterm elections.

While Musk’s representatives declined to disclose how much he plans to spend this cycle, the investment is expected to be substantial given his record-breaking support in 2024.

The effort comes as Republicans seek to defend their congressional majorities amid a challenging political environment ahead of the November elections.

Trump adviser James Blair welcomed Musk’s renewed involvement, telling Axios that America PAC had been “an essential partner” in the GOP’s voter turnout operation during the 2024 election.

“America PAC was an essential partner for our historic GOTV operation in 2024, and their return for 2026 is a huge boost for Republicans across the country,” Blair said.

America PAC says it knocked on more than 10 million doors across multiple battleground states during the last presidential election.

This year, the organization is expected to coordinate with other Republican groups while concentrating primarily on voter turnout operations.

The initiative will be overseen by Musk’s longtime political adviser, Chris Young.

The renewed investment marks another step in the improving relationship between Musk and President Trump.

Although the pair publicly fell out after Musk criticized the administration’s spending agenda and briefly floated the idea of backing a third political party, Musk resumed supporting Republican candidates by the end of 2025.

Earlier this cycle, Musk also donated $10 million to Kentucky Republican Senate candidate Nate Morris before Morris later withdrew from the race to join the Trump administration.

An America PAC spokesman told Axios the organization is eager to return to the campaign trail.

“The president’s political team and the rest of the GOP apparatus have built a top-notch operation that will put Republicans in a strong position to buck history and retain control of Congress this fall, and we’re excited to again be part of the team.”
