Josh Gottheimer

No one has ever accused “Squad” members of being bright.

In an embarassing mix up that unfolded on social media, far-left “Squad” members Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) attacked moderate Democrat Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) after he criticized the growing influence of Democratic Socialists of America(DSA) in his party.

Gottheimer called the DSA “anti-American bomb-throwers” who want to hijack the party.

In a post on X, Gottheimer responded to recent remarks from fake news CNN contributor and longtime left-wing activist Van Jones, who expressed his disgust that the radical DSA faction is devouring his party.

Gottheimer wrote, “I’m glad to see other Democrats reiterating what I’ve been saying all along: the DSA are not Democrats. They’re socialists, who want to hijack the Democratic Party.”

“The Democrats have a big tent. That’s our strength. We embrace a range of ideas — but there’s no room for anti-American bomb-throwers who oppose our ideas, values, & leaders.”

Lee and Omar attacked him in response, but, embarrassingly, they can’t seem to keep their Jewish Joshs straight.

Lee accused him of signing “bombs” and voting to drop them.

It was, in fact, another Josh, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D), who had signed a Ukraine-bound artillery shell during a photo op in 2024.

Gottheimer quipped back, “You know that’s the other Jewish guy named Josh, right? ”

Omar defended Lee and doubled down, without correcting the embarrassing blunder, writing on X, “He signed the bombs you voted to be dropped. Hope this helps!”

Gottheimer added to the humiliation by pointing out that both Lee and Omar voted for a major $60.8 billion Ukraine aid package in April 2024 before ‘the other Josh’ signed the shell and shared the House roll call to highlight the hypocrisy.

“Ilhan, you know who else voted for it? You.”
