Republican Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN) just fired off a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel demanding the full release of every FBI record related to the 2016 murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.

Burchett posted the letter on X Tuesday afternoon with a simple but powerful message:

“Today, I sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel asking for the release of all records related to the death of Seth Rich. The American people deserve answers.”

The letter comes after The Gateway Pundit reported that attorney Ty Clevenger revealed that a government attorney confirmed several hundred pages of Seth Rich documents were found in the previously hidden room at FBI headquarters, the same secret SCIF where Director Patel’s team discovered “burn bags” full of Crossfire Hurricane files marked for destruction.

In the letter, Burchett writes:

“I write to request the release of all Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) records related to the death of Seth Rich. Seth Rich, a 27-year-old with a promising future, was tragically killed in 2016. His killer remains unidentified, and the circumstances surrounding his death are questionable.

Initially, the FBI informed the public it was not investigating Mr. Rich’s death, which was described as a botched robbery handled by local law enforcement.

The FBI later acknowledged possessing evidence related to Rich, including his work laptop and a forensic image of his personal laptop, but resisted releasing these materials for years.

Recent reports suggest the FBI may have found previously undisclosed files related to Seth Rich in ‘burn bags,’ possibly located in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) at the J. Edgar Hoover Building.

Given the Administration’s commitment to transparency, I strongly urge the full release of these records, as permitted by law.”

Burchett even footnoted the FBI’s original public denial and its later admission of holding Rich’s laptops.
