President Trump is set to deliver remarks at the Lincoln Memorial tonight on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, in what will be perhaps the most monumental speech of his Presidency.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, however, severe weather and lightning in the area caused the National Mall to be evacuated just before Trump’s speech.

Still, Trump said he’s ready to “wait it out,” adding, “I don’t care if it’s 2:00 O’Clock in the morning, or in one hour from now.”

“Looks like it is going to pass, they always do. I will be there no matter what, but the ‘what’ usually turns out to be a good thing. It’s Saturday night, LETS HAVE SOME FUN, even if we are out late tonight. They say 11:00 O’Clock for the speech. Who cares???” he said.

Storms bring luck to whatever the occasion. They also make events a little bit more exciting! We will wait it out, I don’t care if it’s 2:00 O’Clock in the morning, or in one hour from now. Looks like it is going to pass, they always do. I will be there no matter what, but the “what” usually turns out to be a good thing. It’s Saturday night, LETS HAVE SOME FUN, even if we are out late tonight. They say 11:00 O’Clock for the speech. Who cares??? Remember two weeks ago when the big UFC Event was at 100% chance of heavy rain, all week long, and just minutes before the card started. Well, there wasn’t a single drop, and the fights turned out to be among the greatest in history, an event for the ages. Our great veterans, especially the old timers, many of whom are there, went through hellfire, and it didn’t stop them. It’s not going to stop us either! I’m not going to let some rain stop our 250th. I’m leaving the White House soon. God Bless America! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Freedom 250 Spokesperson Danielle Alvarez said in a statement that the gates to the National Mall will reopen at 9:45 pm ET “at President Donald J. Trump’s direction,” and Trump will now speak at 11:00 pm.

The event, dubbed the “Salute to America Celebration,” features Aircraft flyovers and demonstrations throughout the day, live programming and music, Trump’s speech, and the “World’s Largest Fireworks Display.”

Various aerial demonstrations have taken place throughout the day.

Earlier, an F-35 Lightning jet showcased its incredible ability to hover in place over the crowds.

The President previously announced that he would hold the rally instead of hosting musical performances after artists canceled their scheduled appearances due to pressure from the radical left. Trump slammed the “Third Rate” artists, accusing them of “getting the yips” in a statement announcing the rally.

“The man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate ‘Artists,’ and give a major speech, rallying the Country forward like I have done ever since being President!” Trump said in May.

Trump returned to the White House at 4:03 a.m on Saturday from his trip to Mount Rushmore on Friday night, where he also delivered remarks to commemorate Independence Day. The President’s patriotic speech highlighted America’s national heritage, while slamming the “Communist menace,” which he described as a “mortal threat to American liberty.” The President also vowed to banish the Communist threat and send them “into exile.”

After tonight’s rally, Trump is planning to shoot off 850,000 fireworks in what he has described as “the LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY.”

Last week, Trump said the fireworks show will be “approximately ten times larger than any Fireworks in the History of our Country.”

The President was originally scheduled to speak at 9:45 pm ET.
