Montreal shooting: the day after.
Montreal’s upscale Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood was rocked by a deadly shootout yesterday (22) that left a police officer and the suspect dead.
One female police officer was severely injured and is reportedly in stable condition.
Montreal police eventually ‘neutralized’ the suspect, who is reportedly linked to the misogynistic ‘incel’ (involuntary celibate) subculture and distributed a violent manifesto against women.

Horrific images show the shooter seemingly ignoring one senior bystander and only targeting cops.
One police officer was shot and fell down in a pool of blood.
Images also show a freaked-out female cop accidentally shooting a civilian – a local rabbi – who pops up behind her, before also being shot by the attacker.

The New York Post reported:
“Residents in the city’s Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood were told to take shelter at around 12:30 p.m. after a gunman was spotted prowling the area, the Montreal Gazette reported.
Harrowing footage of the shooting shows a pair of officers engaging the gunman, who rushes at them with a rifle and camouflage clothing.
The gunman appeared to have a semi-automatic rifle. Witnesses reported hearing up to 30 shots. Constable Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, 34, was killed during the shootout. A female officer, who has yet to be identified, was also wounded in the attack.
[…] The gunman released a manifesto in support of the Incel movement, a misogynistic subculture of men who are involuntarily celibate, denigrate women, and blame them for societal ills, Radio Canada reported.”
Social media users have an alternative explanation for the shooter’s motives:

Multiple people in the replies today have pointed out that the Montreal shooting attack took place directly in front of the building that contains the headquarters of Aylo, a company that operates multiple prominent porn sites including PornHub.
