Vice-President JD Vance appeared on “The View” today and immediately put one of the lead cackling hens in her place when she tried to smear President Trump.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, it was revealed that Vance was going on the show to promote his new book ““Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.”

In addition to the book, he and the hosts — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro — were expected to discuss priorities and goals for the administration and the latest political headlines.

Unsurprisingly, Behar immediately tried to entrap Vance. She dishonestly claimed that Trump had called the affordability crisis a hoax while mocking him for spending money on items like the White House ballroom and the reflecting pool.

She then demanded to know why Trump was spending this money when Americans are struggling.

Vance, however, shut her down quickly. He calmly pointe out that when Trump mentioned the affordability hoax, he referring to the idea the GOP caused it.

In reality, this was caused by the Biden regime and congressional Democrats, who spent like drunken sailors.

Vance went on to lay out cold hard facts which show that inflation has significantly slowed down, though it still remains too high.

“It’s going to take a little bit of time, there’s a lot more work to do,”Vance added. “But he president knows a lot of Americans are struggling.”

What is he spending this money for?

VANCE: Let me defend the President on the hoax point. What the President said was that the idea the Republicans caused the affordability problem is a hoax.

And I think that’s true. If you go back to the Biden administration, inflation got up to 9%. Right now it’s at 3.5%—by the way, too high.

But we inherited an affordability problem. We’re doing a lot to make it better.

It’s going to take a little bit of time, there’s a lot more work to do. But he president knows a lot of Americans are struggling.

He ran on that. He talked about it. We have done things and made good progress on that point.
