President Donald Trump has enthusiastically endorsed a clever viral proposal to rename Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to “National Immigration and Customs Enforcement,” a move that would force the mainstream media and leftist critics to refer to federal agents as “NICE agents” every day.

The change was first suggested by comedian Adam Corolla during an interview with Jesse Watters in September.

“Can you imagine Gavin Newsom?” Carolla said. “These NICE agents pulling up in NICE vans!”

The bit quickly became a meme, especially as ICE has come under relentless attack from Democrats and the media for carrying out Trump’s immigration enforcement policies.

Protests and violence have erupted in cities like Minneapolis, where federal agents have been relentlessly harassed and confronted during operations.

The media and leftist politicians have been on the front line of demonizing the brave men and women risking their lives to enforce our immigration policies.

On Sunday, Trump shared a supporter’s post on Truth Social, endorsing the rebrand idea.

The post he screenshotted read, “I want Trump to change ICE to NICE (National Immigration and Customs Enforcement) so the media has to say NICE agents all day.”

The president added, “GREAT IDEA!!! DO IT.”

Any official rename would likely be handled through the Department of Homeland Security, under which ICE operates.
