A Massachusetts man is now in federal custody after allegedly posting multiple violent death threats against President Donald Trump on Facebook.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 45-year-old Andrew D. Emerald of Great Barrington was indicted on eight federal counts of transmitting threatening communications after posting a series of messages between May and July 2025 calling for Trump’s death.
On July 3, 2025, Emerald wrote, “I plan to go to DC with my sword [sword emoji] and kill trump and as any of the domestic terrorist he emboldens as I can. If they are eliminated by September, I’m going to do it myself.” [sic]
He wrote in a separate post, “Which is why when I stick the sword through Trump’s fucking throat, I’ll have every fucking right pulse by creation and ethically actually legally, right!!! Anyone who is not in the same place that I am deserves to die with them!!!! . . .. You are an evil. I’m not going to allow to exit any longer. You piece of shit Trump. You think your position as president protects you it doesn’t I’m coming for you.”

According to the indictment, from May 2025 to July 2025, Emerald intentionally made eight separate Facebook posts in which he threatened to injure President Trump. Specifically, it is alleged that Emerald made the following posts:
May 3, 2025: “When I see to it that Trump is put to death. It will be the the day the purpose creation put me here for beyond creating. My daughter is fulfilled. (because what she is destined to do for the world is far greater than mine, taking out the orange menace!)”
May 13, 2025: “Oh, I’m not just watching!! Either Trump is dead and in the ground by 2026 or I am hunting him down and putting him there. Do you hear that FBI and any other organization that wants to show up at my f****** door?
Put the enemy of the United States in a f****** body bag or I will.”
May 15, 2025: “Cause and effect. Trump being a monster to humanity caused this family suffering, and they might never choose to have children because of him Affect we’re going to f****** kill Trump on public television so the world sees what we do to f****** monsters and then we’re gonna hang him from the Statue of Liberty until his pathetic bloated corpse rots off falls in the ocean, and I swept out the to see with humanities trash
May 15, 2025: “That’s not a threat that’s a f****** promise and I don’t have Trump arrangement syndrome. The bulls*** they made up. I’m going after him for taking my second amendment rights on constitutionally for calling him the Russian asset that he is! Cause and f****** affect!!!’ I’m going after him because I’m an actual f****** patriot. By the way, if there’s any arrangement syndrome caused by Trump it’s what his cult is inflicting on the rest of us!!!! That is going to end up going down in the psychological history books. Including the bulls*** that is Trump arrangement syndrome. I have very good reason to threaten his life and to go after it whether I have my second amendment rights or not. May 30, 2025: “If others have not taken care of you before the end of the year, Trump, I will, and I won’t make the mistake of not knowing where the f*** you are when I come for you. I’ll make sure you’re at Mar-a-Lago when I burn it to the f****** ground.”
May 30, 2025: “And you shouldn’t have listened to my father when he said I wasn’t dangerous. I burned a house to the ground once in my life on accident when I burn you to the ground, it will very much be by intention, and I will revel in it instead of regret it for the rest of my life.”
June 14, 2025: “Because killing is not wrong defending your life or putting down a predator you see taking others through murder. Which is why I’m coming for you, Trump. You’ve killed millions of people by proxy. And you’re a monster to f****** humanity and it is my mission in this life to end your f****** existence. And I won’t be murdering you I will be executing a monster. I will be fulfilling my constitutional duty to execute a criminal citizen that’s committed high treason just like the constitution tells me too, tells us all f****** too.”
July 7, 2025: “Trump either you’re dead by 2026 or I’m coming for you personally and if I’m the one that kills you, you’re gonna suffer you little f****** b****.”

After what I just heard if Trump is not dead by 2026 I’m going to Mar-a-Lago and I’m going after myself.”The situation escalated dramatically when federal agents arrived at Emerald’s residence in Great Barrington to execute the arrest warrant.
According to the affidavit:
- Emerald initially refused to come out
- Agents were forced to breach the door
- Emerald then appeared armed with a long metallic sword
- He reportedly told agents they would have to shoot him
- He barricaded himself inside before eventually surrendering after negotiations
During the search of Emerald’s home, agents reportedly recovered multiple bladed weapons, including swords and knives — further raising concerns about the seriousness of his threats.
Photos included in the affidavit show:
- A large sword with a decorative blade
- Multiple knives, including tactical-style blades
- Additional long weapons resembling machetes or swords
Emerald now faces:
- 8 counts of interstate transmission of threatening communications
- Up to 5 years in prison per count
- 3 years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000
Prosecutors are pushing for pretrial detention, arguing that Emerald poses a clear danger to the public.
He has pleaded not guilty and is currently being held without bail pending further hearings.
