Deputy AG Todd Blanche was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream. He talked about ICE agents and how they are being attacked by the radical left.

Blanche explained that federal law enforcement has the right to do their job under the law and that no one should interfere with them. He called out Governor Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for impeding ICE by encouraging unlawful behavior.

“What you just heard was a complete lie. That is absolutely not what is happening on the ground in Minnesota,” Blanche referring to a clip of Congresswoman Jayapal’s accusations against ICE.

Blanche explained that there are numerous law enforcement actions throughout the US tied to immigration, but you don’t see outrage, and cited Minnesota as an exception to that.

“These blatant accusations that they are violating the First Amendment or somehow committing crimes are not only completely false, but they are doing real damage to our law enforcement officers around the country,” Blanche said.

“There are thousands of immigration actions all over this country every single day, and nowhere do you hear this outrage, this made-up outrage from local politicians and activists, except for in Minnesota, and that should be telling to the American people,” Blanche continued.

“How does this impact operations there, and are you going to appeal that decision?” Bream asked regarding a judge restricting how ICE responds with non-lethal weapons.

“We are still looking at whether to appeal what that judge did at this point, but I’ll tell you it’s absurd for the media and some of these politicians to call what these folks are doing as peaceful protests. They are throwing rocks at ICE officers. They are standing in the roadway where they try to drive by. They are putting their vehicles in the roadway while they try to drive by,” Blanche explained.

“What should be happening is local leaders should be sending law enforcement out to stop the protestors from assaulting ICE officers for doing nothing except for their job,” Blanche continued.

“You have men and women who have families going out and doing exactly what they are supposed to do and being screamed at, pushed, assaulted, having rocks thrown at them. We will not tolerate that, and that’s been our position from the beginning and it will remain our position for the rest of this administration,” Blanche said.

Deputy AG Blanche called out Governor Walz and Mayor Frey for promoting the chaos that is in the streets of Minneapolis. He explained that no one, including politicians, has the right to interfere with federal agents doing their job.

“You saw the Governor and the Mayor actively encouraging, encouraging criminals to go out on the street and impede ICE. That is not allowed under our law. When a federal officer is out doing their job, they have to be allowed to do their jobs,” Blanche continued.

“No matter who you are, whether you are a Governor, a Mayor, or somebody out there on the streets assaulting ICE, you cannot under federal law, you cannot impede a federal officer doing their job,” Blanche said.
