One of the companies most beloved by the American public has been secretly using BIOENGINEERED MEAT, according to a leaked recording, and that’s not all.
As Newsweek reported, Campbell Soup Company is facing an employment discrimination and retaliation lawsuit in Wayne County Circuit Court, which was filed on November 20. A former security analyst named Robert Garza says he was fired for revealing unseemly conduct by a senior executive.
Garza claims in the lawsuit and in interviews with local media that these claims stem from a recorded meeting between Garza and Martin Bally, Campbell’s Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer.
Garza explained that he met Bally at a restaurant in late 2024, believing they would be discussing his salary. While there, Bally was caught mocking Campbell’s Soup customers while exposing some damning and disgusting details about their products.
“We have sh*t for f**king poor people,” Bally said in the recording. “Who buys our sh*t?”
“I don’t buy Campbell’s products barely anymore,” he added. “It’s not healthy now that I know what the f**k’s in it.”
“Bioengineered meat! I don’t wanna eat a f**king piece of chicken that came from a 3-D printer.”

Garza also said that Bally uttered racist comments about Indians, saying that “F**king Indians don’t know a f**king thing,” and “Like they couldn’t think for their f**king selves.”
Garza kept a copy of the recording for several weeks before reporting Bally to his supervisor, J.D. Aupperle. Garza was then fired on January 30, 2025, roughly three weeks after blowing the whistle.
Newsweek reported:
He kept the recording private for several weeks before reporting Bally’s remarks to his direct supervisor, Aupperle, in January 2025.
His attorney, Zachary Runyan, said Garza believed he was acting to protect co-workers who were the subjects of the alleged comments. “He was really sticking up for other people,” Runyan told Local 4
According to the lawsuit, Garza was terminated on January 30, 2025—roughly 20 days after raising his concerns.
Runyan said Garza had no record of disciplinary action and had not been written up for performance issues.
Campbell Soup Company released the following statement to Newsweek in response to Garza’s allegations:
If the recording is legitimate, the comments are unacceptable. They do not reflect our values and the culture of our company.
Mr. Bally is temporarily on leave while we conduct an investigation.
We are proud of the food we make, the people who make it and the high-quality ingredients we use. The comments on the recording are not only inaccurate— they are patently absurd.
Keep in mind, the alleged comments are made by an IT person, who has nothing to do with how we make our food.
