Leadership of the Latin Kings, one of the largest Hispanic street gangs in the world, has authorized a “shoot on sight” directive toward federal agents, mainly Border Patrol Agents, involved in Chicago’s “Operation Midway Blitz.”

Border Patrol Agents this weekend conducted immigration enforcement operations in Chicago.

According to NewsNation Correspondent Ali Bradley, the Latin Kings are now targeting Border Patrol Agents.

Here’s the text from the alert per Ali Bradley:

***Officer Safety Alert***
On November 8, 2025, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) received credible information indicating that Latin Kings leadership has authorized a “shoot on sight” directive targeting immigration officer/agents conducting immigration enforcement activities in support of Operation Midways Blitz in Chicago and surrounding areas.

Officer/agents are reminded to maintain heightened situational awareness and exercise extreme caution when conducting enforcement activities.

News of the directive to shoot at border patrol agents comes after agents were shot at on Saturday.

Border Patrol agents were shot at by an gunman driving a black Jeep in Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday.

The shooter and vehicle are at large.

Other anti-ICE agitators threw bricks and a paint can at federal agents.

“Today, U.S. Border Patrol was conducting immigration enforcement operations near 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, when an unknown male driving a black Jeep fired shots at agents and fled the scene,” the DHS said on Saturday.

“An unknown number of agitators also threw a paint can and bricks at Border Patrol’s vehicles. Chicago Police Department was called for assistance and cleared the scene,” the DHS said.

“This incident is not isolated and reflects a growing and dangerous trend of violence and obstruction. Over the past two months, we’ve seen an increase in assaults and obstruction targeting federal law enforcement during operations. These confrontations highlight the dangers our agents face daily and the escalating aggression toward law enforcement. The violence must end,” the DHS said.
