A burglar in Arizona is getting laughed at and mocked after making a really stupid move while trying to steal computers from a store.

As FOX 10 Phoenix reported, a tech company’s security cameras captured a man wearing a plaid shirt and a black baseball hat who shattered a glass window at the company’s office in a business park back on October 4.

The man does not fully enter the building. Instead, he sticks half his body through the blinds and steals what he thinks are Mac Mini computers.

He was in for a funny surprise later.

Employee Curran Rose spoke to FOX 10 Phoenix regarding the incident and revealed exactly how much value the criminal absconded with.

The answer? Nothing!

All he managed to grab were empty boxes, even though the computers were right in front of him.

“Nope! Just empty boxes,” Rose told the outlet. “Our computers were right there in front of them. They just steal the boxes instead. Really low IQ.”

“They stole empty boxes. Everyone was laughing about it,” Rose added. “I’m just glad no one was hurt.”

Still, he and the rest of the people at the company know they lucked out and have filed a report with Tempe Police.

“We’re still trying to figure out who this guy was; we’re asking around the neighborhood,” Rose said.

“Just hope that we get the word out, find the guy, and capture him.”
