Anti-Trump protesters gathered near President Donald Trump’s golf resort in Doonbeg on Saturday as thousands of spectators attended the Irish Open.
The demonstrators assembled in the County Clare village during Trump’s visit to Trump International Golf Links, where the tournament is being held this weekend.
Protesters waved Palestinian flags and carried signs attacking Trump and his foreign policy, including messages about Israe’s war in Gaza.
Two women jumped onto the golf course itself, lying down on the green before being removed by security.
They were later arrested for public-order offences.

Trump, meanwhile, arrived at the golf course aboard Marine One after Air Force One performed a flyover of the tournament.

(@KarluskaP) Hundreds of spectators turned their attention away from the golf to watch the presidential helicopters arrive.
Trump later joined his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., at a private viewing area overlooking the 18th green, where they watched the closing stages of Saturday’s play.
He also made an appearance inside the hotel bar, where guests were singing Irish songs, including “The Fields of Athenry.”
The Irish Open has attracted around 20,000 spectators to Doonbeg over the weekend, with tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday selling out.

The tournament has provided a significant boost to the small County Clare community, bringing thousands of visitors and international attention to the area.
The Doonbeg protest was one of several demonstrations organized against Trump during his visit to Ireland, where he held meetings with Prime Minister Michael Martin.
Thousands also marched through Dublin on Saturday, chanting “We don’t want you here” and bringing traffic in parts of the city center to a standstill.
At one protest, protesters showcased a balloon of Trump being bent over by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
