Jesse Kelly of “The First” talked with conservative talker Michael Knowles on topics including who the potential Republican Presidential nominee will be in 2028.
Kelly and Knowles explained that if President Trump endorses JD Vance, it will be a guarantee for him to be the next nominee.
Kelly and Knowles also discussed the DSA and the Democrat party being a full communist party. The clip showing Senator Chuck Schumer calling the Democrat party a “big tent party” showed that those ideas are embraced by the majority of the party.
Kelly and Knowles explained that the Republican party needs to address these issues, especially in the area of affordable housing. Knowles explained that the rise in housing costs have to do with bad regulations, and mass migration.
For the record, President Trump brought down the inflation rate significantly since he resumed office in January 2025.
This follows years of record inflation by Joe Biden and Democrats.
Joe Biden’s best year in annual inflation is worse than any of President Trump’s years in office.

“The socialists are talking about affordability, so if you want to avoid socialism, the thing you have to do is talk about the economic hardship that people are feeling, and then channel it in a good direction,” Knowles said.
“My problem honestly, it comes clear from the top Michael, honestly with Donald Trump himself, is how we are messaging the fact that people remember what it was like five, six years ago, to afford more things,” Kelly said.
“Five or six years ago, you could afford more than you can afford now. The American people hated it with the fire of a thousand suns, when Joe Biden would go to the camera, and tell them how great they had it,” Kelly continued.
“I understand full well that it is Donald Trump’s way. Everything is the best ever, the best looking ever, the greatest ever,” Kelly said.
“I understand that that’s his way, and I like it. I enjoy it. When it comes to issues like this, man, does it not land well to get on the news and say it’s an A-plus economy. Golden age. Stock market has never been higher. If you are sitting at home, crying about your grocery bill, that doesn’t land well,” Kelly continued.
“I think actually, the administration has a pretty good argument to make here but they have to acknowledge the problem,” Knowles said.
“The biggest driver of costs is housing. I mean, that’s where you are really seeing housing jump,” Knowles said.
“From I think it was 2019 to 2024, housing jumped up like 30 percent in prices, but wages only rose about 9 percent,” Knowles said.
“The biggest drivers of this are bad regulation, you know, you are seeing the housing prices and the grocery prices, and the energy prices really jumping in those Democrat cities and states,” Knowles continued.
“The other big drivers here are mass migration. There was a study that came out last year showed that 100 percent of the growth in home prices in California and New York was due to mass migration, and nationally it was 60 percent,” Knowles explained.
“Whoever Trump picks is gonna be the nominee. It seems to me that JD Vance was the heir apparent from the minute he picked him to be his running mate back in 2024,” Knowles said.
