A man in North Carolina has been busted for a truly sickening crime, but the fact that he was even on the street to begin with was an absolute travesty.

As FOX Carolina reported, police on Sunday executed a search warrant for a home on Pebbleston Lane in Rutherfordton.

They were looking for a 30-year-old woman, Jordan Wishon. She had been reported missing on Friday.

During the search, the police discovered human remains buried on the property. It was later determined that these remains belonged to Wishon.

Police then charged 25-year-old Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton with first-degree murder. Hamilton was in jail on unrelated charges at the time.

From the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office:

At approximately 5:17 a.m., investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Pebblestone Lane in Rutherfordton. During the search, human remains were discovered buried on the property. Investigators were able to positively identify the remains as Jordan Wishon.

On June 28, 2026, investigators obtained a warrant charging Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton, 25, of Rutherfordton, with First-Degree Murder. Hamilton is currently incarcerated at the Polk County Detention Center on unrelated charges and has not yet been served with this outstanding warrant.

WLOS reported Hamilton was arrested for stealing a vehicle in Polk County.

Before that, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol charged him with reckless driving offenses and resisting arrest.

State records indicate that Hamilton had a history of nearly 90 cases across four counties.

Wishon leaves behind one child and a fiancé, thanks to Hamilton’s sinister act of violence.

As Fox News reported, Wishon’s sister, Casandra Toney, mourned her passing in a touching post on Facebook.

“I’m gonna miss you so much,” she wrote. “This is unfair. You did not deserve this, but I can’t promise you we will get justice for you.”

“I hope you know at the end of the day,” she added. “I do love you, and we’ll always love you. You’re my sister, you’re my big sister at that.”
