Japanese soccer fans are once again going viral for all the right reasons.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported back in April, Japanese supporters cleaned up Wembley Stadium after their team humbled England. That was no one-off. It’s a long-running tradition.
They did the same after beating Germany at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Their players even left a spotless dressing room with a “thank you” note in Russian after a 2018 loss. Cleanliness, respect for the host, and personal responsibility aren’t suggestions in Japanese culture, they’re non-negotiable.
Now, during the 2026 FIFA World Cup on American soil, the tradition continued in Dallas.
After Japan’s thrilling 2-2 draw with the Netherlands at AT&T Stadium, Japanese fans brought their own blue trash bags, stayed behind after the final whistle, and methodically cleaned their section. They wiped seats, collected every piece of litter, and left the stands spotless while most other supporters had already headed for the exits.
Videos of the disciplined cleanup exploded online. Praise poured in from around the world.
“That’s the culture. It’s respect for everything: the players, supporters, and the stadium. We’re honored to be here, so we don’t want to make a mess and leave it.”

It’s the same cultural DNA that has kids cleaning their own classrooms in Japanese schools. Accountability starts young. No excuses. No “someone else will deal with it.”
Meanwhile, in New York City…
Knicks fans “celebrated” their first NBA title in over 50 years by turning Manhattan into a scene straight out of a third-world dystopia.
Crowds flooded the streets around Madison Square Garden. Fans climbed on top of buses and light poles. Traffic came to a complete standstill. 63 people were arrested. Ten police officers were injured.
Five school buses were set on fire in Times Square. Vehicles were damaged. A 17-year-old was shot in the foot amid the “festivities.” Fights broke out. Smoke bombs were thrown in earlier games.
