President Trump on Monday provided an update on the US’s deal with Iran and options for disposal of their enriched uranium.

Iran is expected to agree to a 60-day memorandum of understanding that will ultimately end the war between the US and Iran if negotiated terms are met in the coming months.

It is now being reported that after Trump’s conference call with Gulf and Arab leaders on Saturday, which Trump announced was a success, Iran’s supreme leader has approved the deal, pending additional review from Iranian leadership.

Iran has reportedly also agreed in principle to dispose of highly enriched uranium.

“US believes Iran’s supreme leader has approved the broad template for draft deal with Iran. Iran has agreed in principle that in exchange for the US lifting blockade, Iran will agree in principle to dispose of highly enriched uranium,” CBS News reported.

“This draft has to make its way through the leadership system. But US wants them to commit to dispose of HMU and commit to resolve other nuclear issues. @VP, Witkoff, Kushner involved in negotiations. US trying to involve every middle eastern ally,” CBS reported.

On Monday, Trump said Iran’s enriched uranium will be turned over to the United States to be destroyed or destroyed in another acceptable location.

Trump’s full statement:

The Enriched Uranium (Nuclear Dust!) will either be immediately turned over to the United States to be brought home and destroyed or, preferably, in conjunction and coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran, destroyed in place or, at another acceptable location, with the Atomic Energy Commission, or its equivalent, being witness to this process and event.

Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT
