Woke REP Ilhan Omar of Minnesota fired back at President Trump after he announced a Department of Justice investigation into her finances, accusing him on social media of “deflecting from your failures with lies and conspiracy theories” and demanding he “get your goons out of Minnesota.” Omar’s comments came as the Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told CBS News that even if an investigation proves the shooting of Alex Pretti was legally justified, “I don’t think that even matters at this point, because there is so much outrage and concern around what is happening in the city.” The fatal shootings of both Renee Good by federal agents on January 7, and Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old shot by Border Patrol agents on January 24, has put the spotlight on the Trump administration’s efforts to deport violent illegal aliens.

Omar has called for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, arguing that federal agents’ tactics are “terrorizing” communities and contradicted “the America we love.” She also condemned the Trump administration’s deployment of immigration agents to Minnesota while calling on Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign or face impeachment for her characterization of Pretti as a “domestic terrorist.”

O’Hara claimed on “Face the Nation” that the federal agents’ tactics “are not safe, and it is generating a lot of outrage and fear in the community,” noting this was the second American citizen killed and the third shooting incident by federal agents in less than three weeks. The Minneapolis Police Chief criticized the Trump administration’s handling of the investigations, explaining that when his department responded to Pretti’s shooting scene, federal officials withheld “even the most basic information that is typical in a law enforcement-involved shooting.” Even though local state officials have been refusing to work with federal law enforcement for weeks to begin with.
