In a despicable lie, the Democrat party posted to X telling Americans that ICE arrested a 5-year-old boy and used him as human bait to arrest his parents, describing the ICE agents as “monsters.” This at a time when violence and threats of violence against ICE skyrocket.
In Minneapolis, ICE arrested a 5-year-old coming home from preschool and tried to use him as human bait.
His teacher describes him as “a bright young student.”

The Department of Homeland Security responded on X and corrected the record, but the lies from the left continue:

Accounts of the January 20, 2026 incident in Columbia Heights, including those from witnesses and school officials critical of ICE, do not claim the child was alone on the street or in the driveway before ICE arrived. All accounts confirm the child was inside the vehicle with his father when agents approached to make an immigration arrest. The child was left without parental supervision only after the father fled the vehicle, abandoning him in a running car during freezing winter conditions.
An ICE officer remained with the child to ensure his safety while other officers apprehended the father. Officers made multiple attempts to transfer custody to the mother inside the house, assuring her she would not be arrested, but she refused to take the child. The father requested that the child remain with him.
No one likes to see a child be present when their parents get arrested, but it is not the fault of law enforcement. Rather it is the fault of the adult who knowingly placed their child into such a position by their own failure to follow the law.
If a U.S. citizen was to rob a bank, and bring his child with him, unfortunately the child would be caught up in the subsequent chaos and arrest. No one would blame the responding officers who sought to stop the bank robber.
When stories like this are circulated the left loves to demonize the officers who went out of their way to protect and calm the child through a difficult situation that their parent put them in. These ICE agents deserve applause, not slander.
