Rainer Vesey, the teen Turning Point activist who was slapped by a deranged old leftist outside a New Hampshire polling place on Tuesday, joined Fox News last night with his brother, Asher Vesey, to speak out and explain what happened.
70-year-old crank Stephen Redic slapped Vesey after confronting the boys with a “five-minute-long essay about economics,” then becoming triggered over a disagreement.
“The man was walking into the polling station, and he came back out after he was done voting. And we had some buttons and stickers we were handing out; we asked him if he wanted one that said ‘I voted,’ and he seemed like he wanted it,” Asher explained.
“It ended up into a place where he pulls out his phone, and he’s like, ‘Hey, I’ve got something you guys might appreciate, and I want to read to you.’ And it was this five-minute-long essay about economics.”
They then had what Asher called a “very cordial, calm conversation,” but at times the crazed lunatic “got very passionate and loud.”
“I even called him out on it at one point. I was like, ‘You’re getting a little bit aggressive,’” Rainer chimed in. The man would then shrug them off, saying, “No, no, it’s just passion. I’m just, I’m just passionate,” according to Rainer.
Eventually the man became enraged and started railing against Elon Musk and taxing the rich, they explained.
“Rainer was asking him how much should we tax the rich? If Elon Musk has a trillion dollars and then we cut that in half, so he’s got 500 billion, is that enough to tax him?” Asher continued.
“And he couldn’t give a response. Rainer was saying, ‘well, just how much? Give me a number.’ And the guy kept saying, ‘I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know,’ to the point that Rainer said, ‘Well, respectfully, sir, it sounds like you don’t know much of anything, honestly,’ and that’s when he, the man, Stephen Reddick, got upset and jumped in and started getting really loud. And my brother tried to say, “I don’t mean to be rude,” and that set him off.”
“That’s where you see the clip where he’s like, ‘You are being rude.’ He said, ‘You don’t know who the f I am,’ and got in my face and gave me a backhand to the jaw,” Rainer added. He then joked, “Some people have said that I’ve got kind of a sharp jaw, so I think the better question is, you know, maybe check in on him to see if he’s okay. Maybe I hurt him.”
“We’re definitely pressing charges,” Rainer further confirmed before revealing that he’s even faced death threats for hosting a Young Washington movie watch party at his church and that he wants the left to be held accountable.
“This has gotten out of hand,” he said. “I mean, we tried putting on a movie night at our church for a film about Young Washington, and we advertised it a little bit on social media. I cannot tell you how many death threats we’ve gotten just for that. The left feels like they can get away with anything, and it’s just gotten insane.”

“You have no idea who I am!” Stephen Redic shouted at the young volunteer before he assaulted the young man. “You sit there and dare to look me in the face and say, ‘I don’t know anything?!’
“That’s what I know. F*ck you!” the man shouted before slapping the teen.
