In the 2024 presidential election, President Donald Trump won Texas with 6,393,597 votes and 56.1% of the statewide vote to Kamala Harris‘s 4,835,250 votes or 42.5% of the vote.

On Tuesday night, James Talarico defeated accomplished and principled Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton.

As of midnight on Wednesday morning, Talarico has 4,880,229 total votes.  Talarico has already received more votes than Kamala Harris in 2024!

Ken Paxton trailed Talarico with 3,847,153 votes in the US Senate race. Paxton received about 2.5 million fewer votes than President Trump.

In the Texas governor’s race, Democrat Gina Hinojosa won 4,735,613 votes, beating three-time Republican Governor Greg Abbott by 7 percentage points.

Hinojosa won almost as many votes as Kamala Harris did in 2024. She may surpass Kamala as ballots continue to be counted in the Lone Star State.

UPDATE: Talarico has now received over 200,000 more votes than Kamala in 2024!

He has more than 5 million votes!  Where did they come from?

Update: (8 AM CT): Talarico now has 5,388,840 votes in Texas – CRUSHING Kamala’s numbers!

These are absolutely shocking numbers that pundits will ponder for days to come.  How does a weird guy who never worked and is a far-left state senator field so many votes in a US Senate race in an off year- in Texas?

So… What are your thoughts?
