Benny Johnson, host of the Benny Show, invited pollster John Mclaughlin on his show the day before the 2026 midterm elections.
McLaughlin, the CEO and Partner at McLaughlin and Associates, successfully predicted President Trump’s win in 2016, 2024 and the controversial 2020 election that was eventually stolen from the American people in a wave of late night Democrat maneuvers.
During their conversation, Benny asked John what his predictions were for the 2026 midterm.
McLaughlin shared some good news that will dampen the spirits of the anti-American radical left.
He says Republicans will hold the US Senate and may surprise in the congressional races.
He also noted how Republicans needed to point out the contrast to their candidates and the communist radicals running in the Democrat party.
Trump did that these past three months.
Trump did that very, very well!
Benny Johnson: Final question here, John. You’re saying that we could see massive upsets, potentially in Minnesota for a Senate seat pickup for Republicans. Potentially a gubernatorial pickup in New York.
What other shockers should we be looking at? And if you don’t mind, I’m sure you hate this question, but what is your crystal ball? What do you think is going to be the most likely outcome based on your data, not on the fake polls?
John McLaughlan: I think we should hold the Senate like 52, 53 seats. I mean, we’re going to lose North Carolina. The bad part is they pulled back money in in North Carolina and Georgia. And they should— I, I polled in those states the 3 last times for President Trump. We won North Carolina 3 times, we won Georgia 2 out of 3, and we got stolen from us with drop boxes. We should be in play in those states. So I mean, we should be much closer to Jon Ossoff than people realize.
But reality is, I think we get 52, 53 seats, and we should be able to hold Alaska and Maine. I mean, these, these… So the Senate should be ours. And, and, and the House will— we’ll be kicking ourselves that we unfunded some races where congressionals could have picked up.
And we didn’t fund some gubernatorial races. So— but it all depends on the Trump voters getting back out to, to avert this, this national catastrophe. If these, if these big government socialists come back in, these are the guys that shut us down during COVID These are the guys who, uh, basically kicked off inflation, raised energy prices, who’s cut off oil and gas drilling, etc. If we want to give them a second time to come out and redo the 4 years of the Biden administration, shame on any Trump voter who stays home. We got to get out.
