Rap superstar and massive Trump supporter Nicki Minaj weighed in Saturday on a viral clip of Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed describing how white kids had it better than him growing up.
Minaj did not hold back while explaining that El-Sayed is experiencing “misplaced anger at his own parents” that he has projected onto white people.
During El-Sayed’s appearance on comedian Hasan Minhaj’s show, the Egyptian-American physician and former public health official recounted life as a “brown kid” with demanding parents who made him feel that “no matter what you do, you’re never enough.”
El-Sayed contrasted that with white classmates whose parents, in his telling, showed up to every game and praised their children even when they were mediocre.
Responding to the clip, Minaj wrote that El-Sayed’s comments reflect “raging jealousy of other children who had parents that lifted them up and poured into them.”
She added that “White ppl haven’t hurt him. He knows exactly who did” and urged him to “mend his heart before thinking about running for any office.”
The music icon urged people not to “validate anyone’s experience for the sake of temporary bonding.”
If you listen carefully it’s a misplaced anger at his own parents for not making him feel worthy that turned into raging jealousy of other children who had parents that lifted them up and poured into them. He’s projected all of that onto white people. He needs to mend his heart before thinking about running for any office. White ppl haven’t hurt him. He knows exactly who did. Notice how he doesn’t get the satisfaction he was craving when the interviewer simply anchors himself & doesn’t validate that experience. We should all do more of this. Don’t validate anyone’s experience for the sake of temporary bonding.

El-Sayed, the far-left Democrat nominee for Michigan’s open Senate seat, will face Republican Mike Rogers in one of the most closely watched races of the 2026 midterms.
Trump recently rallied in Michigan for Rogers.

Minaj was on Air Force One with Trump earlier this month en route to a Michigan rally, where she endorsed the president’s agenda, roasted Hillary Clinton over “fake polls,” and later received a shout-out from Trump on stage.
Jealousy is not to be taken lightly. Whenever you identify jealousy, know that you’ve just identified a deadly threat. The bible says jealousy is as cruel as the grave.

Minaj followed her initial post with another, noting that “Jealousy is not to be taken lightly” and citing the biblical description of jealousy as “as cruel as the grave.”
